The Mulu Caves 2017-2 (October) Expedition was the 25th Anglo-Sarawak Expedition to Gunung Mulu National Park and operated in the field between 12th and 31st October 2017. The expedition was based at Camp 5 in the Melinau Gorge. The main team led by Mark Brown was to continue the exploration of Whiterock Cave and a small team led by David Nixon were to investigate an entrance seen high in the cliffs on the Api side of the river which had te potential to connect to Wonder Cave. The expedition was assisted by National Park Management, staff and local people.
